I just received my October Training Schedule from my mentor/coach and it reminded me that another month was here and gone!!!! September is over at the end of today and I decided I would look back and see what I have accomplished this month.
I did notice that I really haven't been cross training and that is something I am going to try harder to do in the coming months. My schedule calls for Rest/XT days and guess what I always do......yep, people, you guessed it..............I REST!! I mean, come on, I am given the option!!LOL!!
If it said XT only, being the schedule/rule follower that I am, I would totally XT but it gives me a freakin option!!!
Anyway, here is what I accomplished in my running life in SEPTEMBER 2009:
TOTAL MILES RAN : 77.49 (AVG OF 19.38 PER WEEK)
COMPLETED MY LONGEST RUN YET: 7.52 MILES!!!!
My October schedule actually looks very scary ( it is Halloween around the corner, right?) and VERY challenging with a good amount of speedwork, tempo runs and working up to a long run of 9.5 miles!! At the end of October, I will be 5 weeks from my December 5th Half Marathon, CRAZY!!!!!!!
