Change of Plans........Very Tired.......

Hello fellow bloggy runners and friends.......................

I have had a very long week this week. My hubby was out of town from Sunday till Wednesday night,  my oldest son had soccer practice, I have a full time job, and my dog had cataract surgery.

I haven't been blogging about running because, well, I haven't really been running, unless you count the 3.1 miles on Tuesday evening, cuz that is all I have done all week!! I had a light schedule to begin with in anticipation for the Aching Quad 4 race series tomorrow.......................BUT......................I am no longer running the series because there has been a death in my family, my Aunt Hazel passed away last night, and I have to head to North Carolina tomorrow for the funeral.

So I apologize for being absent, but I am completely exhausted ( I have been giving my dog meds every 4 hours for a few days, even thru the night) and I've been a single mom for most of this week (you single mom's get all the props I can give ya, it is hard enough to do it with a wonderfully helpful and supportive husband), and now I'm headed out for 20 hours of driving over the next 3 1/2 days.............I will be checkin in on all of your blogs over the weekend as I will have down time in the car, but I can only read in the car for limited time before I puke!!  I hope everyone kicks butt in their races, long runs, etc this weekend, I will be thinking about all of you and sending fast-paced, non-inury, PR type vibes your way!!!

I will be taking the Jazz's with me, so I hope to get some running in while in NC. Say a prayer for my family and I'll post when I get back!!!!

Happy Running,

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt Hazel, I'll be thinking of you and your family this weekend. There are always other races and I'm sure the Aching Quad will be glad to have you next year...and you'll definitely kick butt!

I hope your pup feels better also, I understand the work they take!

Look forward to hearing from you, Tobi!

  8. So sorry for your loss sweetie. Take all the time you need. A run could make you feel better. But so could chocolate cake. :)

My condolences to you and yours.

  9. Just discovered your blog through Miles of Kate. Can relate to your bio... I'm a few years older than you with kids and a job and have come to love running even though I haven't done much lately due to an injury and then because of back to school for the kids. I want to eventually run a HM too so I'll be following your training closely. Good luck.

  10. Oh sister... no apologies necessary! You have had your hands full!! We all take running breaks occasionally, you'll get back to the road in no time. Tend to your family... that is much more of a priority!
I am sorry to hear about your loss, my prayers are definitely with you and will be for the remainder of the weekend. God bless!!!
