Eat, Drink and Be........Bummed!!!

BUM KNEE = BUMMED ME!!!

My knee is not feeling any better but I am resting, icing and stretching as all of my bloggy running friends have suggested! Thank you Morgan, for forwarding the stretches, I did them tonight and have already iced twice since I got home.
A while back, there were suggestions for me to add more pictures to my blog and since I tend to be terrible at taking pics while running, I took a bunch while sitting!!!

As I sat on my back porch, enjoying the slightly cool breeze that is called a cool front in Florida, AKA 79 degrees, I saw runners going by. Stomach turns as my leg is up and icing and I drink some wine. That will make me feel better, right??

Okay, so don't look too closely cuz I look kind of heavy in this picture?? My hubby took it and it is blurry, but you get the jist......ice and wine!!!!

Hubby made me this fabulous dinner,



Yes people, that is filet mignon, sliced italian potatoes and steamed veggies ( on a week night, i know???)
 have I told you that my hubby is wonderful?? So, I ate, iced and drank some more wine, more runners passed by to bum me out, drank some more wine....2 1/2 glasses later, and feeling a little less bummed about the knee,  I caught up on Biggest Loser episodes that have been in the DVR for a few weeks. I stretched, while they worked their butts off.................I ate some ice cream while they worked their butts off,  I did not run and probably gained a pound or two while they worked their butts off................

Can anyone tell I am a bit bummed??? And the food and wine and TV really didn't help, maybe they made me think about something else for a moment or 2, but I am still bummed......

I WANT TO RUN, LIKE RIGHT NOW, I AM FRUSTRATED AND GOING TOTALLY CRAZY!!!!!!

  1. I know how you feel. But in the long run a few days rest and ice is better than a month or something permanent :) Love the shirt- GO GATORS!!

    Just try to relax and get some xtraining in for cardio. You'll be back out there pounding the pavement before you know it!

  5. Great pictures!! So sorry about your knee. RICE! I felt like that was all I did at times, but it works.
    That stinks, but doesn't wine make everything better? I love that pic!

  6. Oh, I feel for ya, I ended up hurting my foot a couple of weeks ago. It sucks. It's so hard...to relax. Enjoy it! Dinner looks, yummy!
