It was a nice thought.....it continued to be a nice thought until about .5 miles in to the warmup mile. The twinge hit the knee and got worse and worse. I finished the mile and stopped to stretch. Thought that if I stretched it out, I could attempt the speedwork.......not so much. Did the 200M in a slower pace than goal and attempted the 400M and was on pace unril the pain got so bad that my knee was buckling!! I am soooo frustrated!! I even called hubby to see if he was home yet cuz I wanted him to pick my hobbling butt off the side of the road on his way home. He was already home and making dinner ( yes, he is the greatest hubby on earth!) so I continued to hobble. I have been icing and stretching and wondering what I could have done to my knee....ugghhhh. Right hand side of right knee, sharp and shooting pains. Not sure if it is connected to the sciatic nerve pain in my buttocks and low back or if it is my IT band??? I hope I figure it out because I don't want to miss any more runs, I am feeling so strong and don't want to lose this momentum....... 9 on the schedule for this weekend......what's a runner mama to do??????
