Welcome Our Newest Addition.......Sophie!!!

Hello Bloggy World! I can't believe I haven't posted in a whole week....Times are busy here in the Nicholson household!!! We are trying to finish up Thing 1's soccer season, I have to get all of my Christmas shopping done before December 11th ( Surgery Day), and it is like every weekend is packed for me.....

It is a bitter sweet time for me  right now! I SHOULD be less than two weeks away from my first Half Marathon, wouldn't that mean tapering??? Instead,  I haven't run since October 20th!! I can't even believe it has been 33 days since I have done any running. I feel pretty gross actually...I have taken the no running thing to mean no exercise at all and have been altogether blah!!! Oh well, I will get my butt in gear soon, I'm sure. I should at least have super tight abs as it is the only thing I can work on that doesn't kill my knee or my shoulder!!!

On a happier note, I finally have a girl!! You guys didn't know?? Do I really hide it that well?? haha!! Just kiddin! We have a beautiful male Wheaton Terrier ( the one that had the $4K eye surgery a few months ago) who is 4 years old and pure puppy still with tons of energy! Me and the boys have been begging to get another dog, and hubby has not been on board at all, especially since shelling out the dough for the eye surgery BUT Shilo needs a friend......right??
Well the sweetest hubby in the world gave in and allowed my parents to buy this sweet little girl for my sweet little boys as an early Christmas present!!!

Isn't she sweet???

Her name is Sophie and we all love her.......even Shilo is starting to love her a bit ( although at 35 lbs her senior, he tends to play a little rough), but she doesn't back down, I'm teaching her to be tough!!!!

She is a Schnoodle - 1/2 schnauzer and 1/2 poodle. She will not shed and will only be about 15 pounds!! She is soooooo cute! Now, after 6 years , I am waking up in the middle of the night and feel like I have another baby, BUT it is well worth it because I think she is a perfect addition to our family!!

I have not caught up on everyone's racing and running weekends yet, but I plan to catch up over the Holiday!! If I do not post again before Thursday, please know that I am thankful for all of you!! My Bloggy running friends are so awesome and so supportive. I wish you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend!!!

Happy Running,

  1. She is very cute! Looks like a sweetheart.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Sophie is so cute! I wish I could get a new puppy all the time but the love I get from my two is enough (for now).

I dogsit my Aunt's two wheatie's when she is out of town and they are special dogs. Do health issues run in the breed? The male is blind after having encephalitis and the female has terrible skin allergies. Poor things.

  3. Yay for new little girls! Glad to see you online Tobi... been thinking about you, girl. Thanks for sharing pics of your newest addition. She's adorable!!!! Have a wonderful Turkey Day with the family and enjoy all the yummy foods (how 'bout those pumpkin muffins these days?? LOL). I'm thankful for you, friend! :-)

  4. She is SO cute!! I can't wait to get a dog! Enjoy - and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Schnoodle? Ha Ha that's a funny name. She's a cutie. Finish your shopping? Oh my, I haven't even started. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

  6. Very, very cute. Congratulations! I haven't even thought about shopping yet!

  7. OMG she's so adorable! Enjoy her and have a great Thanksgiving!

  8. So cute! We keep going back and forth about getting a dog, thought about it for Christmas, but I think spring would work much better for a puppy, after all the snow is gone!

Thanks so much for your comments today!
I love the advice from all my blog friends, you are all much appreciated!!!!
Happy Running and Happy Living!!
